Why HBOT
At increased atmospheric pressure, your bloodstream carries up to 10x more dissolved oxygen — reaching tissues and cells that normal circulation can't. Here's what that means for athletes and active people:
Increased oxygen delivery to the brain supports neurological healing after concussions and traumatic brain injuries — reducing brain fog, headaches, memory issues, and post-concussion syndrome that won't go away on their own.
HBOT reduces muscle fatigue, accelerates tissue repair after intense training or injury, and gets athletes back on the field faster. Used by elite athletes worldwide as a recovery tool between games and after surgery.
Chronic inflammation is at the root of most sports pain, joint issues, and slow recovery. HBOT directly reduces systemic inflammation — giving your body the environment it needs to rebuild and perform.
Oxygen doesn't just travel in red blood cells — at elevated pressure, it dissolves directly into plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, and lymph. Areas that are oxygen-deprived due to injury or poor circulation get the flood they need to heal.
Brain fog, poor concentration, and post-injury cognitive symptoms respond well to HBOT. Athletes often report sharper mental clarity, better mood, and improved sleep quality within their first several sessions.
High oxygen levels in tissue inhibit bacteria and support immune cell function — making HBOT a powerful tool for recovery from infections, wound healing, Lyme disease, and chronic illness that keeps athletes sidelined.
Your Session
Simple, comfortable, and fully guided by Dr. Warren's team.
We start with a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Raleigh Warren to review your health history, symptoms, and goals. We determine if HBOT is right for you and build your personalized protocol.
You enter the soft-shell chamber and relax while pressure gently rises to 1.3 ATA. Most people read, rest, or listen to music. The experience is quiet, comfortable, and non-claustrophobic.
After your session, our team walks you through your recommended protocol — number of sessions, frequency, and what to track. Recovery is cumulative: each session builds on the last.
The Science
At sea level, your blood oxygen saturation is already near 100% — so breathing more air doesn't add much. But at 1.3 atmospheres of pressure, oxygen physically dissolves into your blood plasma, reaching injured tissue, inflamed joints, and the brain with a level of oxygenation normal breathing can't achieve.
Who It Helps
Good to Know
Mild HBOT at 1.3 ATA is widely considered safe for most healthy adults. The chamber includes a safety valve, interphone, and pressure gauge. All sessions at Polaris are supervised by Dr. Raleigh Warren. We conduct a health screening at your consultation before starting.
The soft-shell 1.3 ATA chamber is 27 inches wide and 84 inches long — spacious enough to sit up, lie down, or use a device. Most people find it comfortable and even relaxing. The zipper can be opened from inside at any time.
It depends on your condition. Acute recovery (sports injury, post-game) may benefit from fewer sessions. Chronic conditions like TBI or post-concussion syndrome typically show meaningful improvement in 20–40 sessions. Dr. Warren will create your specific protocol at your consult.
During pressurization you may feel mild fullness in your ears — similar to descending in an airplane. You equalize by swallowing or yawning. Once at pressure, most people feel calm and relaxed. There's no pain or discomfort.
Yes. We want to make sure HBOT is the right fit for you before any commitment. Dr. Warren will review your history and goals and give you an honest recommendation. No pressure, no obligation.
